Apollo 15 was the fourth of six space missions to the moon by NASA.

But on the other hand , this is the first that saw the crew make a long stay on the lunar surface.

The scientific scope there has been much greater than in previous expeditions. In addition, this mission was the first to involve the famous lunar rover , a small two-seater designed to explore the lunar surface.

The Apollo 15 mission started July 26, 1971 . The crew set foot on the Moon four days later just to leave that on August 7 . Astronauts had spent twelve days in space! With this new model Moonwatch Omega wished to commemorate the success of this historic space mission.
